Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2014 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work A Tiger In A Forest by Géza Vastagh. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,185.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Géza Vastagh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Lion and a Lioness in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 192,000.00 (€ 160,066.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Tiger In A Forest von Géza Vastagh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.185,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Géza Vastagh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Lion and a Lioness im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 192.000,00 (€ 160.066,69).
