Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Unknown by Gervase Spencer was sold in the Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Silver and Plate and Icons auction at Christies in London in September 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 384.00 (€ 566.48). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gervase Spencer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Young Boy, Circa 1750 in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,632.01).
