The price achieved of GBP 717.00 (€ 1,030.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Gervase Spencer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Young Boy, Circa 1750 in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,632.01).
