Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gertrude Käsebier could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the MoMA: Women in Photography auction, the work Untitled (Portrait of a woman with cherry blossoms), c. 1905 changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,639.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gertrude Käsebier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rodin, c. 1905 in February 2016 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,805.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gertrude Käsebier konnte im Dezember 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion MoMA: Women in Photography wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Portrait of a woman with cherry blossoms), c. 1905 für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.639,16) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gertrude Käsebier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rodin, c. 1905 im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.805,30).
