Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2009 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work "Orange - D" by Gershon Iskowitz. The price achieved of CAD 30,000.00 (€ 20,009.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gershon Iskowitz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sextet, which sold at auction in June 2010 for CAD 60,000.00 (€ 46,023.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2009 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Orange - D" von Gershon Iskowitz zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 30.000,00 (€ 20.009,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gershon Iskowitz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sextet beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für CAD 60.000,00 (€ 46.023,92) versteigert wurde.
