Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Afternoon At Colbourne by Gershon Iskowitz. The price achieved of CAD 6,000.00 (€ 4,308.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gershon Iskowitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sextet in June 2010 with an auction result of CAD 60,000.00 (€ 46,023.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Afternoon At Colbourne von Gershon Iskowitz zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 6.000,00 (€ 4.308,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gershon Iskowitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sextet im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 60.000,00 (€ 46.023,92).
