Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters: No Reserves, which included the work A Vanitas With Books, A Skull, A Candle And Various Objects On A Table by Gerrit van Vucht. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 20,160.00 (€ 19,256.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate.
