Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A girl knitting on the dune by German Grobe was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2001. The price achieved of NLG 2,350.00 (€ 1,028.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by German Grobe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Anchoring the Bomschuit in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 18,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A girl knitting on the dune von German Grobe kam im Januar 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 2.350,00 (€ 1.028,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von German Grobe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Anchoring the Bomschuit im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.000,00.
