However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fabius Brest - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Beiram; cérémonie de baise-main à Constantinople, sous le Sultan Mahmoud II, which sold at auction in October 2005 for USD 598,400.00 (€ 498,874.53).
