Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Christies in London held the auction The London Sale, which included the work London Transport by Gerd Winner. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,097.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gerd Winner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Düsseldorf, Tausendfüßler in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 7,438.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion The London Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit London Transport von Gerd Winner zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.097,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerd Winner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Düsseldorf, Tausendfüßler im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.438,00.
