Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Adoration Of The Magi by Gerbrand van den Eeckhout was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in May 2011. It changed hands for a price of EUR 13,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerbrand van den Eeckhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A seated African holding a parasol in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 410,500.00 (€ 517,769.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Magi von Gerbrand van den Eeckhout kam im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 13.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerbrand van den Eeckhout erzielen.
