Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Family Portrait, With Mother And Father In The Guise Of Jacob And Rachel by Gerbrand van den Eeckhout was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 43,843.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerbrand van den Eeckhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A seated African holding a parasol in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 410,500.00 (€ 517,769.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Family Portrait, With Mother And Father In The Guise Of Jacob And Rachel von Gerbrand van den Eeckhout wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
