Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Peter And John Before Annas, The High Priest by Gerbrand van den Eeckhout for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,207.88). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerbrand van den Eeckhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A seated African holding a parasol in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 410,500.00 (€ 517,769.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Peter And John Before Annas, The High Priest von Gerbrand van den Eeckhout für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.207,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerbrand van den Eeckhout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A seated African holding a parasol im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 410.500,00 (€ 517.769,57).
