In October 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Two Ladies In The Market by Gerard Pieter Adolfs. The auction ended at the price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,932.86), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00.
