Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Adoean Djago (Cockfight) by Gerard Pieter Adolfs was sold in the Modern Art Online: From Zao Wou-Ki to Le Pho auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 88,200.00 (€ 9,580.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerard Pieter Adolfs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beeldhouwer Bali (Balinese sculptor), which sold at auction in October 2004 for HKD 262,900.00 (€ 26,483.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Adoean Djago (Cockfight) von Gerard Pieter Adolfs wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Modern Art Online: From Zao Wou-Ki to Le Pho bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 88.200,00 (€ 9.580,81) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerard Pieter Adolfs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beeldhouwer Bali (Balinese sculptor) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2004 für HKD 262.900,00 (€ 26.483,89) versteigert wurde.
