Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sitting Men by Gerard Pieter Adolfs was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,500.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gerard Pieter Adolfs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beeldhouwer Bali (Balinese sculptor) in October 2004 with an auction result of HKD 262,900.00 (€ 26,483.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sitting Men von Gerard Pieter Adolfs wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 6.500,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerard Pieter Adolfs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Beeldhouwer Bali (Balinese sculptor) im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 262.900,00 (€ 26.483,89).
