The work Naakt Interieur (Interior With Nude) by Gerard Pieter Adolfs was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 93,750.00 (€ 8,896.39), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerard Pieter Adolfs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beeldhouwer Bali (Balinese sculptor), which sold at auction in October 2004 for HKD 262,900.00 (€ 26,483.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Naakt Interieur (Interior With Nude) von Gerard Pieter Adolfs wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 8.896,39) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerard Pieter Adolfs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beeldhouwer Bali (Balinese sculptor) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2004 für HKD 262.900,00 (€ 26.483,89) versteigert wurde.
