It achieved a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,688.46), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gerard Pieter Adolfs; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Beeldhouwer Bali (Balinese sculptor) sold at auction in October 2004 with the realized price of HKD 262,900.00 (€ 26,483.89).

Die Arbeit Kampong Met Flamboyant En Personages (Villagers Under The Flamboyant Tree) von Gerard Pieter Adolfs wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.688,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gerard Pieter Adolfs; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Beeldhouwer Bali (Balinese sculptor) im Oktober 2004 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 262.900,00 (€ 26.483,89).
