Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cockfight by Gerard Pieter Adolfs was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,117.11) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerard Pieter Adolfs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beeldhouwer Bali (Balinese sculptor), which sold at auction in October 2004 for HKD 262,900.00 (€ 26,483.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cockfight von Gerard Pieter Adolfs kam im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.117,11) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerard Pieter Adolfs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beeldhouwer Bali (Balinese sculptor) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2004 für HKD 262.900,00 (€ 26.483,89) versteigert wurde.
