Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,247.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerard de Lairesse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Marriage of Peleus and Thetis in January this year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 754,282.56).
