In September 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Pink Floyd’S “The Wall” – Wife, Teacher And Pink by Gerald Scarfe. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,820.00 (€ 9,725.48), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Scarfe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Churchill In The House Of Commons in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 141,017.67).

Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pink Floyd’S “The Wall” – Wife, Teacher And Pink von Gerald Scarfe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.820,00 (€ 9.725,48) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerald Scarfe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Churchill In The House Of Commons im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 118.750,00 (€ 141.017,67).
