Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman With An Earring by Gerald Leslie Brockhurst was sold in the Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz auction at Sothebys in London in May 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,803.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Leslie Brockhurst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vanity in June last year with an auction result of GBP 176,400.00 (€ 204,926.62).

Die Arbeit Woman With An Earring von Gerald Leslie Brockhurst wurde im Mai 2020 in der Auktion Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.803,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
