Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Anais In A Hat by Gerald Leslie Brockhurst for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,775.27). This price was achieved in the auction Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,600.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Leslie Brockhurst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vanity in June last year with an auction result of GBP 176,400.00 (€ 204,926.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Anais In A Hat von Gerald Leslie Brockhurst für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.775,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.600,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerald Leslie Brockhurst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vanity im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 176.400,00 (€ 204.926,62).
