The auction ended at the price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 7,180.33), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerald Cooper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tulips, camellias and narcissi; and Tulips, viburnam and a peony, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 16,450.00 (€ 26,177.13).
