Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Still Life Of White Lilies And Peonies by Gerald Cooper. The price achieved of GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,175.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tulips, camellias and narcissi; and Tulips, viburnam and a peony in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 16,450.00 (€ 26,177.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Of White Lilies And Peonies von Gerald Cooper zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.175,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerald Cooper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tulips, camellias and narcissi; and Tulips, viburnam and a peony im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.450,00 (€ 26.177,13).
