In April 2018 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Nuit Chargée (The Loaded Night) by Ger Lataster. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,000.00 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ger Lataster have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,987.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nuit Chargée (The Loaded Night) von Ger Lataster zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.000,00 und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ger Lataster auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.987,15).
