In May 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Including Russian Art, which included the work Winter Landscape by Gevork Bashinjaghian. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,662.76) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gevork Bashinjaghian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mount Ararat in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 66,500.00 (€ 93,117.20).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Including Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winter Landscape von Gevork Bashinjaghian zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.662,76) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gevork Bashinjaghian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mount Ararat im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.500,00 (€ 93.117,20).
