The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,905.11) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gevork Bashinjaghian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mount Ararat, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 66,500.00 (€ 93,117.20).

Die Arbeit Moonlit river bank von Gevork Bashinjaghian kam im Juni 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.905,11) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gevork Bashinjaghian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mount Ararat beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 66.500,00 (€ 93.117,20) versteigert wurde.
