Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Farmyard scenes, a pair each 35.9 x 60.6cm (14 1/8 x 23 7/8in). (2) by Georgina Lara was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,743.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georgina Lara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rural Life, which sold at auction in March 2000 for GBP 4,025.00 (€ 6,693.76).

Die Arbeit Farmyard scenes, a pair each 35.9 x 60.6cm (14 1/8 x 23 7/8in). (2) von Georgina Lara kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.743,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Georgina Lara mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rural Life beobachtet, die im März 2000 für GBP 4.025,00 (€ 6.693,76) versteigert wurde.
