Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2003 Christies in London held the auction At Home - British and Continental Pictures & Works on Paper, which included the work A welcome reward; and Friends at the stile by Georgina Lara. The price achieved of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 4,592.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Georgina Lara have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2000 the work Rural Life was auctioned for GBP 4,025.00 (€ 6,693.76).
