Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Country Scene by Georgina Lara for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,727.34). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georgina Lara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rural Life, which sold at auction in March 2000 for GBP 4,025.00 (€ 6,693.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Country Scene von Georgina Lara für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.727,34) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Georgina Lara mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rural Life beobachtet, die im März 2000 für GBP 4.025,00 (€ 6.693,76) versteigert wurde.
