Admittedly, works by Georgette Chen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Big Durian in May this year with an auction result of HKD 14,290,000.00 (€ 1,712,814.91).

Die Arbeit Paysage De Chine Avec Sampans (China Landscape With Sampans) von Georgette Chen wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion — Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.560.000,00 (€ 238.096,61) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georgette Chen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with Big Durian im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.290.000,00 (€ 1.712.814,91).
