Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lotus Symphony by Georgette Chen was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The price achieved of HKD 9,160,000.00 (€ 869,236.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 7,800,000.00 – 9,800,000.00. Other works by Georgette Chen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May this year the work Still Life with Big Durian was auctioned for HKD 14,290,000.00 (€ 1,712,814.91).
