It achieved a price of EUR 812.50 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63 %. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Georges Victor Hugo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of a gentleman sold at auction in February 2002 with the realized price of GBP 881.25 (€ 1,438.11).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 812,50 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63 %. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Georges Victor Hugo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman im Februar 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.438,11).
