In April 2012 Christies in Paris held the auction Collection Victor Hugo, which included the work L'aumône by Georges Victor Hugo. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,062.50 33% above the upper estimate. Other works by Georges Victor Hugo have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 881.25 (€ 1,438.11) in February 2002 for the work Portrait of a gentleman.

Im April 2012 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Collection Victor Hugo durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'aumône von Georges Victor Hugo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.062,50 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Georges Victor Hugo haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.438,11) im Februar 2002 für die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman beobachtet.
