This artwork by Georges Victor Hugo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in April 2012. In the Collection Victor Hugo auction, the work Etude de rose sold for EUR 812.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 300.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Georges Victor Hugo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of a gentleman sold at auction in February 2002 with the realized price of GBP 881.25 (€ 1,438.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Victor Hugo erzielte im April 2012 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Victor Hugo wurde die Arbeit Etude de rose für EUR 812,50 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 300,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Georges Victor Hugo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman im Februar 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.438,11).
