This artwork by Georges Victor Hugo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in April 2012. In the Collection Victor Hugo auction, the work Au restaurant sold for EUR 250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 100.00. Admittedly, works by Georges Victor Hugo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a gentleman in February 2002 with an auction result of GBP 881.25 (€ 1,438.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Victor Hugo erzielte im April 2012 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Victor Hugo wurde die Arbeit Au restaurant für EUR 250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 100,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Victor Hugo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman im Februar 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.438,11).
