The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,775.06), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Lemmen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La modiste in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 173,250.00 (€ 257,847.89).

Die Arbeit La Chemise Enlevée von Georges Lemmen wurde im Februar 2013 in der Auktion Impressionist/Modern bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.775,06) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Lemmen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La modiste im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 173.250,00 (€ 257.847,89).
