Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Tête de femme III by Georges Braque was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2019. The »bidding war« ended at USD 831,000.00 (€ 754,151.92), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Braque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage À La Ciotat in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 15,845,000.00 (€ 12,199,722.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tête de femme III von Georges Braque wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 831.000,00 (€ 754.151,92) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Braque erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage À La Ciotat im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.845.000,00 (€ 12.199.722,82).
