Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Cattle watering in a wooded landscape by George Vincent for GBP 199.75 (€ 291.75). This price was achieved in the auction At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Vincent achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of The Needles, Isle of Wight, From Christchurch in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,309.32).
