The work Two partly dismembered sketchbooks: the first 7 sheets in a marbled paper binding, with drawings of a proposed house design and a letter; the second 17 sheets, unbound, with various head studies and some compositional drawings, including for Portrait of M by George Romney was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July this year. It achieved a price of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,880.15), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Romney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Edward Wortley Montagu (1713–1776) in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,002,500.00 (€ 5,048,410.94).

Die Arbeit Two partly dismembered sketchbooks: the first 7 sheets in a marbled paper binding, with drawings of a proposed house design and a letter; the second 17 sheets, unbound, with various head studies and some compositional drawings, including for Portrait of M von George Romney wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert.
