Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue Dog, Yellow Sun by George Rodrigue was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2016. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,623.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Rodrigue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work I Hear The Blues, I See The Blues, I Sing The Blues in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 170,500.00 (€ 128,572.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blue Dog, Yellow Sun von George Rodrigue kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.623,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Rodrigue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit I Hear The Blues, I See The Blues, I Sing The Blues im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.500,00 (€ 128.572,51).
