In May 2001 Christies in London held the auction PHOTOGRAPHS, which included the work The Wrestlers, Kordofan, Southern Sudan by George Rodger. The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,954.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Rodger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Champion of a Korongo Nuba Wrestling Match is Carried Shoulder High, Kordofan, Southern Sudan, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,074.14).

Im Mai 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Wrestlers, Kordofan, Southern Sudan von George Rodger zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.954,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden.
