This artwork by George Rickey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September last year. In the New Now auction, the work Four Lines in a T II sold for USD 37,800.00 (€ 38,638.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Rickey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work One Fixed Four Jointed Lines in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 519,000.00 (€ 465,512.60).

Dieses Kunstwerk von George Rickey erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Four Lines in a T II für USD 37.800,00 (€ 38.638,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Rickey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit One Fixed Four Jointed Lines im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 519.000,00 (€ 465.512,60).
