Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George Richardson could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work The New Vitruvius Britannicus: Six Plates changed hands for USD 1,195.00 (€ 1,112.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Richardson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The New Vitruvius Britannicus: Six Plates, which sold at auction in March 2004 for USD 3,107.00 (€ 2,527.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Richardson konnte im Januar 2003 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit The New Vitruvius Britannicus: Six Plates für USD 1.195,00 (€ 1.112,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von George Richardson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The New Vitruvius Britannicus: Six Plates beobachtet, die im März 2004 für USD 3.107,00 (€ 2.527,66) versteigert wurde.
