Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.176,00 (€ 1.974,59) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 45%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Platt Lynes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yul Brynner, 1942 im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.800,00 (€ 14.005,84).
