In the Photographs Now The Collector's Edition auction, the work 'Almost Abstract Nudes I' ('Tex Smutney + Buddy Stanley, or perhaps Bradbury Ball') sold for USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,484.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by George Platt Lynes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yul Brynner, 1942 in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 16,800.00 (€ 14,005.84).
