The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,140.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Loring Brown - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Military Troops at Camp, which sold at auction in September 2014 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,837.82).
