In May this year Bonhams in Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work View of Naples at Sunset by George Loring Brown. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,480.00 (€ 4,204.99), 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Loring Brown - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Military Troops at Camp, which sold at auction in September 2014 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,837.82).

Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of Naples at Sunset von George Loring Brown zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.480,00 (€ 4.204,99) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von George Loring Brown mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Military Troops at Camp beobachtet, die im September 2014 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 15.837,82) versteigert wurde.
