Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Sketch of the foal run, Buxar by George Landseer for GBP 500.00 (€ 571.34). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Landseer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Sir Chamarajendra Wodyar, Maharajah of Mysore, seated, half-length, in a white costume with a belt bearing a miniature portrait of Queen Victoria and a blue and gold turban in September 2000 with an auction result of GBP 8,812.50 (€ 14,746.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sketch of the foal run, Buxar von George Landseer für GBP 500,00 (€ 571,34) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Landseer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Sir Chamarajendra Wodyar, Maharajah of Mysore, seated, half-length, in a white costume with a belt bearing a miniature portrait of Queen Victoria and a blue and gold turban im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.812,50 (€ 14.746,00).
